Do not email before auto-renew

We have a significant number of members who have a weekly subscription running and do not want to be emailed every week that their subscription will be renewed. They consider it spam and it is reason for them to cancel their subscription. Please allow us to disable this function because it leads to termination of income.

I have disabled the addon for now.

Maybe an option per Upgrade to have a reminder or not or like with alerts: just once and not again. Then you could disable / enable it per specific upgrade and have shorter recurring periods without reminder but annually payments with reminder/confirmation. (Edit: only reminders)

This is not mainly about confirmation. its mainly about the reminder that the subscription will take place in x days. There is no reason to nag people if they want to renew or not. Which is basically what this notification is. If they want to cancel they can cancel at any time.

Look for the "Expiration Notification (Days):" setting on each user upgrade.

There are global options to disable email notifications too.

To clarify: it is very useful (and increases income) to remind users of expiring account upgrades that they need to renew. Members will respond to this by renewing.
But for automatically renewing subscriptions the opposite is true: reminding users of renewing subscriptions will prompt users to cancel their subscription which makes us loose income.

So we need to keep expiring notifications but not notifications for non-expiring account upgrades. Does that make sense?

@Alfa1 do you want the global notification options to have a per-user upgrade option as well? Can't you just set the "Expiration Notification" to zero for automatically renewing subscriptions?
