Search Options interface

My members really like the search autocomplete. However, it is also causing a lot of problems. When members want to use search options (like search forum/thread or titles) then this is hard on desktop and impossible on mobile.
The live search results blocks all options. There needs to be an options icon / interface that users can tick.

But it vanish if you scroll a mouse wheel
