Upgrade Quantity?

I would need an explanation of the feature "Limited User Upgrades" in User Essentials.

Can this feature be used for "Demo Upgrades"? Where -if set to "1"- each user can only purchase this upgrade once and after that never again, even after the expiration of the upgrade?

Or what is that feature intended to do?

It is designed to limited number of "slots" for user upgrades globally, and isn't a limited applied per user account.
