Which addons will not be updated to XF2?

You have a very large portfolio of addons. I am wondering which addons you will not be upgrading to XF2 and which you will be upgrading?

I think the big one for some people will be Moderator Essentials as I'm unsure about it.

Unless there is significant demand, the following are highly unlikely to be migrated to XF2:
  • Conversation Email Limiter
  • Search Filter - Exclude Forum
  • Conversation Lock Bypass
  • Hashtagging
  • Crowd Moderation
  • Watched Threads Digest
  • Notable Members
  • XMWidgets - bd Widget Framework Extension
  • Tag Rss Feed
For my free add-ons a bunch will become paid add-ons when ported to XF2, and the redundant ones dropped.

Are you saying that you are going to port 79 published addons and then some???
I'm looking at having to convert about 95 or so in total for XF2 for my own sites, of which about 85 of those are public add-ons of some descriptions.

I've converted, or in the processing of converting, about 20 of the smaller add-ons so far.

Similar threads with the same tag is the most important feature in XMWidgets.
I hope this feature can be ported into XF2.
Can you confirm please if multi prefix will support XF2?

Multiprefixes will be ported, as it is a requirement for my own stuff.

I haven't yet figured out what I will do with the widget bits. It will most likely be ported over in some way. I'm not sure how it'll work since there isn't a Widget Framework for XF2 around even in beta.

Thanks, I have just purchased a license.

The plan for [bd] Widget Framework is to drop the framework code and focus on widgets since the built-in widget definitions are quite limited

Are you planning to upgrade Attachment Improvements and make it a paid add-on? I would be happy to contribute to rationalize attachments across content types.

I just checked to see if it was installed here. I suspect it would not be all that useful in this setting.

If it's not listed here and it's a free addon, I believe it will become a paid addon

I agree about Moderator Essentials. I can see my staff being very disappointed to lose it.

Also, I want to encourage you to consider porting Watched Threads Digest. It is effective at bringing users back to the site who may have drifted away.

I was glad to see Crowd Moderation updated to 2.x. For a busy "big board," it helps when posts or threads that are really out of control can automatically be kicked to the moderation queue--the staff loves it!

I'm waiting to see if Mark Thread Done gets an upgrade--we use this for a classified ads section, where sellers can mark their items "sold" easily (vs. having staff do it). Plus I have a little interest in it--I mistakenly paid to renew the license when I then realized it wasn't available for XF2 yet. :D
