Voluntary Leave

It happens frequently that members request a voluntary ban, because they find the site too addictive and need to focus on something else. But banning the member gives the wrong impression and results in concern from the community.

I'd like a simple function that allows members to set their status to 'Temporarily Unavailable' / Away / or similar. This would show a banner on their posts and profile.
Additionally the user would have the possibility to lock themselves out for X days.
Admins should be able to reverse this.

On my sites, we have a usergroup which we adds "self-requested ban" banner on their account, but it would be nice to automate it so the user can request it without having a staff member needing to implement it.

This would also let you disable email notifications and such.
